Role: Head of Modern Foreign Language

The Head of Modern Foreign Language will lead the MFL department, ensuring the delivery of outstanding language education to students across all key stages. The role involves:

• Leading and managing the Modern Foreign Language department.
• Designing and delivering engaging French lessons that align with the British National Curriculum.
• Fostering a student-centered learning environment that promotes linguistic skills and cultural understanding.
• Collaborating with faculty to create a positive and collaborative teaching environment.
• Actively participating in extracurricular activities that support students’ broader educational development.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• A certified teaching qualification, such as PGCE or QTS with an Induction Certificate (PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
• A Master’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
• Leadership qualifications such as NPQSL or equivalent (desirable).
• At least four years of teaching experience in French, with a preference for international experience.
• Exceptional subject knowledge and experience of teaching the British National Curriculum.
• A strong commitment to fostering a student-centered environment and professional development.
• Proven leadership skills and a track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
