Role: Computer Science Teacher (Grades 9 – 12)

As a Computer Science Teacher at NIS, you will play a crucial role in equipping students with essential programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. Your expertise will help students understand the fundamentals of computer science, preparing them for higher education and future careers in technology-related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the CAIE curriculum.
• Teach programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking skills.
• Encourage students to apply their knowledge through hands-on projects, coding exercises, and real-world problem-solving.
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes innovation, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Assess student progress through projects, exams, and interactive assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computer science curriculum and stay updated on emerging technologies and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• University Degree and Teaching Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching senior students (Grades 9 – 12) is highly preferred.
• CAIE Curriculum Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and experience in delivering computer science courses effectively.
• Passion for Technology: Ability to inspire students by integrating real-world applications of computer science into the classroom.
• Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in English to ensure effective engagement with students, parents, and colleagues.
