Established in 1999, IICS was created as the ninth campus within the IPEKA school network to deliver international-standard education to Indonesian students. English serves as the primary language of instruction, while students also learn Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia. Role: Kindergarten Teacher
As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a crucial role in developing early literacy, numeracy, social, and emotional skills. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with international early years frameworks.
- Creating a safe, joyful, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child’s developmental needs.
- Instilling foundational academic and character values rooted in a Biblical worldview.
- Observing and assessing student progress regularly and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicating effectively with parents to build strong school-home partnerships.
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and curriculum planning.
- Participating in ongoing professional development to grow as an early years educator.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- At least three years of proven teaching experience at the kindergarten or preschool level.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or Pearson is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- High proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Passion for working in a diverse, international Christian school setting.
