Role: IB & IGCSE Chemistry Teacher
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, inquiry-based Chemistry lessons for IB (DP) and IGCSE students
- Designing assessments aligned with curriculum standards to track student progress and mastery
- Supporting students in preparing for IB Internal Assessments and IGCSE examinations
- Personalizing instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs and styles
- Collaborating with the Science department to align curriculum and teaching strategies
- Guiding students in academic, social, and emotional development
- Participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and science-related initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Chemistry, or a related discipline
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level
- Strong understanding of IB Chemistry and Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry curricula
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Passion for international education and cross-cultural collaboration
- Dedication to professional development and lifelong learning
