Specialist Art and Design & Technology Teacher – Knewton Global Schools, Malaysia

Role Overview: Art and Design & Technology Teacher

As a Specialist Art and Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

• Teach engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in art and design & technology to students across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary levels
• Encourage creativity, experimentation, and technical skills through a variety of materials and mediums
• Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through design challenges and artistic expression
• Organize and curate exhibitions and student showcases that celebrate student work
• Integrate cross-curricular themes to enrich student learning experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive and dynamic creative arts curriculum

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design & Technology, or a closely related field
• Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably including KS3 and IGCSE
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• Confidence in teaching across a wide age range, including Early Years
• Commitment to inclusive and student-centered education
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
