Role: Secondary Science Teacher

As a Secondary Science Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging lessons in Science to secondary students, ensuring students achieve their academic goals
• Teaching all areas of the National Curriculum for England for Science, with a particular focus on GCSE Science
• Using innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing timely feedback to guide improvement
• Preparing students for GCSE Science exams and helping them succeed
• Actively contributing to the wider school community, supporting extracurricular activities, and promoting student well-being
• Collaborating with colleagues to continually improve the curriculum and teaching practices

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field
• Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Science at a secondary school level
• Strong knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum for England and GCSE Science teaching
• Familiarity with AQA, Edexcel, or CAIE examination boards is desirable
• Passionate about teaching Science and committed to student success
• Excellent classroom management skills, with a caring and communicative approach
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, with a strong ability to communicate effectively
