Position Overview: Art Teacher
The ideal candidate will deliver a strong visual arts program that promotes both technical skills and creative exploration. You will design student-centered lessons that foster self-expression, cultural awareness, and interdisciplinary thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Art across primary and/or secondary levels based on curriculum needs
- Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge Art curriculum
- Encourage creative risk-taking while developing artistic technique
- Guide students in using a range of artistic media and digital tools
- Organize art exhibitions and student showcases
- Foster a positive classroom culture that celebrates creativity and diversity
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enrich the curriculum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in Art
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Experience with Cambridge or international curricula is a plus
