Role Overview: Primary Health and PE Teacher
We are looking for an experienced educator to lead our primary-level Health and Physical Education program. You will deliver a curriculum that promotes healthy living, physical fitness, teamwork, and motor skills development, while adapting instruction to accommodate various learning profiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Health and Physical Education using the Australian (Victorian) curriculum
- Plan and deliver inclusive, age-appropriate PE lessons
- Promote a positive and active lifestyle among students
- Organize school sports days, physical challenges, and movement-based events
- Integrate social-emotional learning through sport and physical activity
- Assess student progress and provide individualized support
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and therapy staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience with the Australian or UK curriculum preferred
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Able to use technology effectively to support learning
