Role Overview: MYP Mathematics Teacher (Grade 6)
The MYP Mathematics Teacher will design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme. The successful candidate will foster mathematical reasoning, promote real-world problem-solving, and support each student’s academic growth and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons tailored to MYP standards
- Plan units of inquiry that integrate transdisciplinary concepts
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
- Encourage critical thinking and collaborative learning in the classroom
- Integrate digital tools to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Communicate regularly with parents and contribute to school events

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in a similar role
- Experience with the IB MYP or international curricula (Cambridge, IPC)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Passion for working with students in a diverse school community
- Ability to innovate and collaborate effectively with colleagues
