Role Overview
As a Primary General Music Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging music lessons for primary school students. You will foster a love for music, encourage creativity, and build students’ skills in performance, theory, and appreciation. Your work will enhance SSIS’s commitment to holistic education and excellence in the arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their musical abilities and confidence.
- Organize performances, concerts, and other music-related events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into cross-curricular projects.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in a similar role.
- Strong classroom management skills and effective communication abilities.
- Experience with international curricula preferred.
- Proficiency in English and enthusiasm for working in a diverse school community.
