Role Overview
The IGCSE Physics Teacher will deliver the Cambridge Physics curriculum to secondary students while promoting a strong foundation in scientific principles. You will design lessons that connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, helping learners develop a deep interest in physics, engineering, and future STEM pathways. You will motivate students to push boundaries, ask meaningful questions, and think critically about the world around them.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Cambridge IGCSE Physics to secondary students
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons with active and practical learning experiences
- Assess student understanding and provide constructive feedback
- Encourage scientific inquiry and strong lab-based skills
- Integrate educational technology to enhance instruction
- Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum improvement
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding progress
- Participate in schoolwide activities, events, and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a related field
- Recognised teaching certification such as QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a similar role
- Experience with Cambridge International curriculum preferred
- Excellent subject knowledge in Physics and practical lab work
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build supportive relationships with students and colleagues
- Commitment to continuous learning and contribution to school initiatives
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to incorporate technology into daily teaching
