Position: Art Teacher
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, well-structured art lessons that align with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
- Foster creativity, artistic expression, and critical thinking in students across different age groups.
- Use varied teaching strategies and hands-on activities to support diverse learning styles.
- Guide students in exploring different art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.
- Encourage students to develop their own artistic voice and portfolio for personal and academic growth.
- Integrate technology and modern techniques into the curriculum to enhance artistic exploration.
- Organize and participate in art exhibitions, school-wide creative projects, and community events.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students refine their artistic skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-disciplinary projects that integrate art with other subjects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent certification).
- Proven experience teaching art at primary or secondary levels, preferably in an IB or international school setting.
- Strong knowledge of art history, theory, and practical techniques.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative potential.
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
