Role Overview

The AS/A Level Cambridge English Teacher will deliver engaging and analytical lessons that develop students’ appreciation for English literature and mastery of the English language. The teacher will foster critical thinking, creative writing, and effective communication while preparing students for Cambridge examinations and future academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach AS/A Level English Language and Literature lessons aligned with Cambridge International standards.
• Develop students’ analytical, interpretative, and writing skills through diverse literary genres.
• Encourage critical inquiry and articulate discussion in a collaborative classroom environment.
• Integrate modern technology and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Design assessments and provide constructive feedback to support continuous progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen interdisciplinary connections and curriculum development.
• Promote Christian values and character education in daily instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Cambridge or international school setting.
• Strong understanding of Cambridge AS/A Level curriculum and assessment standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Passion for literature, lifelong learning, and student-centered teaching.
