Role Overview
In this role, you will teach art classes in both English and Chinese, helping students develop technical skills, creative thinking, and confidence in their artistic expression. You will design lessons that encourage exploration across different mediums, from drawing and painting to digital art, and integrate cultural perspectives into the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging art lessons aligned with international curricula (IGCSE, A-Level, AP)
- Guide students in developing portfolios for university applications
- Organize and oversee art exhibitions, competitions, and cultural events
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration
- Integrate digital tools and technology to enhance learning
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school
- Proficiency in English and Chinese
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment
- Commitment to professional development and innovation in art education
