Role Overview
As a Cambridge/IBDP Economics Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that connect economic theory with real-world applications. You will guide students in developing a deep understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and international economics while fostering independent thought, inquiry, and academic curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective Economics lessons aligned with Cambridge and IBDP frameworks
- Encourage analytical thinking and real-world application of economic principles
- Use case studies and data analysis to strengthen students’ problem-solving skills
- Integrate modern educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Develop lesson materials that make Economics engaging, relevant, and accessible
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain curriculum coherence and continuous improvement
- Promote a classroom culture that values inclusivity, collaboration, and academic excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Economics within Cambridge or IBDP frameworks
- Strong understanding of international education standards and assessment practices
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working in a multicultural international school environment
- Ability to integrate digital tools and resources into the classroom effectively
