About Shanghai Qibao Dwight High School
Located in the vibrant city of Shanghai, Shanghai Qibao Dwight High School is a unique Sino-foreign cooperative school formed through a partnership between Shanghai Qibao High School and Dwight School in New York. The school offers a rigorous three-year, full-time boarding program for Grades 10–12, combining the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum with the Chinese National Curriculum. Students receive a balanced education in both global and local contexts, excelling in core subjects such as Chinese, History, Geography, Politics, and the sciences.
Role Overview
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop students’ analytical skills and scientific understanding. You will design creative experiments, integrate technology into learning, and prepare students for success in IB assessments and beyond. Collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds will ensure that students receive a well-rounded, supportive education.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry to high school students following IB and Chinese curriculum guidelines
- Plan and deliver interactive lessons that encourage critical thinking
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment programs
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional growth
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching
