Role: Classroom Teacher (Nursery to Year 2)

The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, patience, and a deep understanding of early years education. You will design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the developmental needs of young children, while nurturing their curiosity and supporting their language development—especially for pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Cambridge International Curriculum
• Incorporate EAL strategies to support learners with varying English proficiency
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom where students thrive emotionally and academically
• Track and document student progress to inform instruction and communicate with parents
• Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Support wider school initiatives and contribute to a collaborative teaching environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in early years or lower primary
• Familiarity with EYFS or the Cambridge International Curriculum is desirable
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Experience supporting EAL learners is a plus
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to continuous professional development
