Role Overview
The Computer Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that introduce students to programming, problem-solving, and digital literacy. Key Responsibilities
- Teach computer science across Prep School levels with a focus on coding, computational thinking, and digital literacy
- Develop lesson plans that integrate practical projects and hands-on learning
- Encourage students to explore new technologies and real-world applications of computer science
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs or technology competitions
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives
- Use modern educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of teaching experience, ideally in international schools
- Strong knowledge of programming languages and technology integration in education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to inspire and support students in a multicultural learning environment
