This school is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is looking for Academic Leaders.

The Academic Leader plays a pivotal role in providing strategic direction and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and academic excellence throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement academic policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the school’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead and mentor teaching staff to enhance instructional practices, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with department heads and faculty to ensure alignment of curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment practices with educational standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic programs and student performance, utilizing data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of professional growth and development among faculty, providing opportunities for training, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Oversee the implementation of innovative teaching methodologies, educational technologies, and learning resources to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Serve as a liaison between academic departments, administration, and external stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and research in education, incorporating best practices into school-wide initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and educational policies.

 

Job Specification:

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in educational leadership roles, preferably in a K-12 school setting.
  • Proven track record of driving academic excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Education / Certifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification and/or educational leadership credential.

 

Skills Required:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in educational technology and curriculum development.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environment.
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and educational standards.
