As a DP Math Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students through the challenging yet rewarding Diploma Programme mathematics curriculum.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced **DP Math Teacher** to teach students in the Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, a thorough understanding of the IB philosophy, and the ability to engage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
– Teach IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation and/or Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at the Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL).
– Develop, plan, and deliver lessons aligned with the IB curriculum and the school’s academic standards.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore and excel in mathematics.
– Assess student progress using IB assessment criteria, provide constructive feedback, and guide students in preparing for their Internal Assessments and IB exams.
– Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and integration of other subject areas.
– Communicate effectively about student progress and well-being.
– Contribute to extracurricular activities or after-school programs as part of the school’s broader mission to develop well-rounded learners.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
– IB DP Math teaching experience (at least 2 years preferred).
– A valid teaching certification/license.
– Strong understanding of the IB Diploma Programme curriculum and assessment standards.
– Experience in using technology to enhance learning and support differentiated instruction.
– Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
– A commitment to fostering a caring and inclusive learning environment.
– Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and international education.
– Experience in integrating real-world applications of mathematics into the classroom.
– Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
