Drama Teacher, Kent College West Cairo, Egypt Teacher

This school is based in Cairo, Egypt and is looking for a Drama Teacher (Primary and Secondary)

The Role

As a member of our growing Kent College Team, you will contribute to the development of a world-class School. You will work closely alongside colleagues to create an outstanding environment which will ensure our school offers the very best international experience for students, delivering learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom which enables students to flourish and thrive.  You will plan and deliver the Drama curriculum students in Year 2 up to Year 9 with a focus on developing children’s performing skills. You will join the Creative Arts Department that includes Music and Drama.

Outside of the classroom, the role of our academic team is to make positive contributions towards our Kent College family that requires a willingness to support the school in admissions marketing and community events as our school grows in size and stature. We are looking for a Drama teacher that is willing to take on extra-curricular activities to raise the profile of Drama and Performing Arts within the School and also a willingness to take on the role of Director of the Winter and Summer productions.

Person Specification

• Teaching Qualification
• Experience teaching Drama to children as part of the British curriculum
• Recent relevant teaching experience (we are happy to employ exceptional ECTs and are able to provide the support and training as a BSME school)
• Experience of teaching children with EAL and children with SEN
• The ability to teach children with a range of different starting points
• Evidence of CPD
• The hunger, desire and determination to make a difference to the lives of young people
• A resonance with the ethos and mission of Kent College
