EAL Teacher, KAIS Elementary & Middle School, Japan Teacher

This school is based in Tokyo, Japan and is looking for an EAL Teacher

Established in 2014 by a small team of passionate educators, KAIS International School’s Elementary & Middle division has evolved over the years to have a very unique learning environment for our Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 learners – one that blends established goals with progressive methods to foster children’s natural inclination towards curiosity, self-discovery, personal excellence, and joy in learning. At KAIS, each student is an individual who gets the special care that every child deserves and thrives on.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at motivating and assisting our Grades 5-8 students who are learning English as an additional language in a small class environment. Key areas of emphasis include delivering high-quality language instruction, fostering a secure and supportive atmosphere, effectively managing the classroom, and maintaining open communication with students, families, and fellow educators.

• Candidates with a strong EAL/ESL teaching background will be given priority
• Required: Teaching certification, criminal background check, 2 professional references
• Candidate must reside in Japan
