Located in Singapore, Middleton International School offers a through-train education pathway from Nursery 2 to Grade 12, catering to students aged 4 to 18. Role: EAL Teacher
As an EAL Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students with limited English proficiency acquire the skills needed to thrive academically and socially. You will work closely with classroom teachers to support students’ language development through differentiated instruction, targeted interventions, and curriculum integration. Your expertise will help students gain confidence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, CELTA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching EAL or ESL in an international school setting
- Strong knowledge of language acquisition strategies and EAL best practices
- Effective classroom management and clear communication skills
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficient in integrating educational technology into teaching
- Passionate about teaching in a culturally diverse environment
