MYP English as and Additional Language Teacher, Nagoya International School, Japan

This school is based in Nagoya, Japan and is looking for a MYP English as and Additional Language Teacher

Applicants should consider applying based on the below requirements:

ESSENTIAL:
● BA degree & valid teaching certification, including qualifications in teaching English to speakers of other languages
● At least 5 years’ experience as a full-time teacher in an English language acquisition environment (for example an MYP English language acquisition/immersion class or similar OR as an EAL Specialist)
● An ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in support of language learners.
● A proven commitment to professional development that has been applied to your classroom practice.
● The ability to provide and/or consent to clear police/background checks and medical clearance.
● A commitment to inclusive education and to serving a diverse array of learners.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
● Masters’ degree or higher in EAL (or a related discipline)
● Experience with IB MYP and DP
