Role Overview
As the Elementary Art Teacher, you will design and implement engaging visual arts lessons that help students explore various mediums, techniques, and artistic traditions. You will inspire creativity, foster problem-solving skills, and encourage students to express themselves confidently through art. This role requires collaboration with colleagues, integration of art into cross-curricular projects, and active participation in school events and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver art lessons aligned with the American curriculum
- Introduce students to a range of art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media
- Foster an appreciation for global art history and cultural diversity
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Organize student art displays and contribute to school-wide events
- Maintain a safe, inspiring, and well-equipped art classroom
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum three years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with international or American curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
