English Language Teacher, Al Ra’ed Al Arabi School, Jordan

This school is based in Amman, Jordan and is looking for an English Language Teacher.

Overview:

Al Ra’ed Al Arabi School is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Teacher to join our team of educators. The English Language Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to students, fostering language acquisition, and promoting communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons that cater to the diverse needs and proficiency levels of students.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive English language curriculum, covering reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, aligned with international standards and curriculum frameworks.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to create interactive and student-centered learning experiences that promote language acquisition and fluency.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and support to help students improve their English language skills.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, collaboration, and cultural awareness among students.
• Integrate language learning activities across the curriculum and promote authentic opportunities for students to use English in meaningful contexts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement language development initiatives and support English language learners across the school.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in English language teaching and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Teaching certification or qualification in English Language Teaching (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA).
• Previous experience teaching English language to students of varying proficiency levels and age groups.
• Strong knowledge of English language acquisition principles, methodologies, and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes cultural understanding.
