This school is based in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Kuwait and is looking for an English Teacher.

Indian Central School, Kuwait, seeks a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will embrace the school’s mission, vision, and beliefs, focusing on delivering exceptional educational outcomes. The role involves fostering a culture of high expectations in teaching, learning, and assessment, maintaining collaborative relationships, and actively engaging with the school community.

Responsibilities:
Living a Mission, Vision, and Beliefs Focused on Results:
  1. Understand and integrate the school’s mission and vision into daily teaching practices and deliver results aligned with expectations.
Sustaining a Culture of High Expectations in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
  2. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests that align with established procedures.
  3. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  4. Encourage and monitor individual student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  5. Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development.
  6. Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s rules and disciplinary systems.
  7. Keep accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
  8. Achieve yearly subject-wise goals with strong instructional strategies, helping each student reach their learning objectives.
  9. Participate in extracurricular activities such as counseling, sports, clubs, and student organizations as directed.
  10. Update all necessary records accurately and completely in the student information system.

 

Building and Maintaining Collaborative Relationships:
  1. Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  2. Ensure students re-register for the following academic year by building strong rapport with parents and providing excellent instruction and support.
  3. Support the business in the collection of school fees, coordinate with the accounts department, and connect with parents to secure payment commitments.

 

Community Engagement:
  1. Develop a strong rapport with parents and promote the school through regular positive communication, including phone calls, meetings, and high-quality school events and activities.

 

Department Goals:
  1. Foster a positive relationship and attitude among all staff, management, school owners, and the community.
  2. Effectively implement daily lesson plans and meet curriculum and developmental goals.

 

Individual Goals:
  1. Ensure 90-100% of students re-register for the following year.
  2. Identify potential students, encourage participation in inter-school competitions, and aim for top 3 positions in academic, sports, and cultural areas.
  3. Act as ambassadors in promoting the school.
  4. Read, understand, and comply with the school’s policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Education (Master’s preferred).
  • Teaching certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
