Role: Cover Teacher – Secondary English

As a cover teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging English lessons to students in various secondary key stages.
• Foster an environment that supports student-centered learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a consistent learning experience in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Provide feedback to students to help them improve their skills and achieve their academic goals.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• A certified teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS with an Induction Certificate, or an equivalent qualification (PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
• At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in Secondary English (international experience is an advantage but not required).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in teaching the British National Curriculum.
• A passion for student-centered teaching and a commitment to professional growth.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
