Role: EYFS Homeroom Teacher
As an EYFS Homeroom Teacher at MISB, you will create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment for young children. Your role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, creativity, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, you will focus on child-led learning and development through play-based and inquiry-based approaches.
You will build strong relationships with students and parents, maintain open communication, and contribute actively to the wider school community. Collaborating with colleagues across grade levels and departments is essential for curriculum alignment and holistic student support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or international teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in an EYFS or equivalent early years setting
- Deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Proactive, self-motivated, and dedicated to continuous professional development
- Comfortable using digital tools to support early years teaching and assessment
