Position Summary:

The Female Physical Education (PE) Teacher position at the International School of Hyderabad (ISH) involves delivering comprehensive physical education instruction to students from diverse cultural backgrounds. This role includes designing and implementing engaging curriculum, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, and fostering physical fitness and skill development. The ideal candidate should have a passion for physical education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to promoting holistic student well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a progressive and inclusive physical education curriculum aligned with national standards, focusing on the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of students.
2. Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities to develop fundamental movement skills, fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal wellness.
3. Utilize various instructional strategies, equipment, and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities in a multicultural classroom environment.
4. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing feedback to support skill development and goal setting.
5. Promote the importance of regular physical activity, healthy lifestyle choices, and lifelong fitness habits through classroom instruction and modelling.
6. Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences and engage students in physical education content.
7. Organize and supervise extracurricular sports teams, intramural activities, and fitness clubs to provide additional opportunities for student participation and skill development.
8. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support the overall well-being of students and integrate physical education goals with broader educational objectives.
9. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, enforcing rules and procedures for physical activity and equipment use, and addressing behaviour issues as needed.
10. Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to stay current with best practices in physical education, sports coaching, and health promotion.

Successful Candidates Will Possess the Following Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical & Sports Education or related field.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Physical Education Teaching in schools.
• Passion and enthusiasm for students.
