Role: Female Secondary Psychology Teacher
As a Secondary Psychology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an inspiring and comprehensive psychology curriculum to secondary students. You will guide students in exploring the fascinating world of psychology, helping them develop critical thinking and analytical skills. Your role will include:
- Teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 (KS5).
- Developing and implementing innovative lesson plans that align with the English National Curriculum.
- Encouraging students to think critically and engage with psychological theories and research.
- Fostering a student-centered learning environment that encourages active participation and inquiry.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback, and setting targets for improvement.
- Contributing to the overall development of the psychology department through collaboration with colleagues.
- Promoting psychology as a valuable subject that contributes to students’ understanding of human behavior and society.
- Engaging in extra-curricular activities related to psychology and supporting the development of students’ interests outside the classroom.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent), preferably British-qualified.
- Proven teaching experience in delivering psychology at the secondary level.
- A passion for inspiring students and creating an inclusive, engaging, and student-focused learning environment.
- A commitment to professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
- The ability to motivate students, helping them understand the relevance of psychology in their lives and society.
