This school is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is looking for an FS Class Teacher.

Position Overview: Dubai British School Emirates Hills is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Foundation Stage (FS) Class Teacher to join our exceptional early years team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of early childhood education and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. As an FS Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, play-based curriculum that supports the developmental needs of children in the Foundation Stage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Delivery:

   • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, play-based lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
   • Create a rich learning environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and discovery.
   • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
2. Child Development:
   • Monitor and assess each child’s progress in all areas of development, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
   • Provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers, sharing insights into their child’s progress and development.
   • Implement strategies to support children with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
3. Classroom Management:
   • Establish and maintain a well-organized, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
   • Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
   • Encourage cooperative play and social interaction among students, promoting positive behavior and respect for others.
4. Parental Engagement:
   • Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed about their child’s learning and development.
   • Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings, providing detailed reports on each child’s progress.
   • Involve parents in the learning process by suggesting activities that can be done at home to support classroom learning.
5. School Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with colleagues in the early years team to share best practices and develop cross-curricular initiatives.
   • Participate in school-wide events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
   • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Foundation Stage curriculum.
6. Professional Development:
   • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational trends.
   • Attend school meetings, training sessions, and workshops to improve your practice and contribute to school improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in the Foundation Stage in a British curriculum school.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
