Role: Geography Teacher

As a Geography Teacher, you will engage students in physical, human, and environmental geography, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. You will play a key role in shaping their understanding of climate change, geopolitics, urban development, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive geography lessons aligned with the GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level Geography curriculum.
• Foster a curiosity for global issues, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
• Use modern teaching methodologies, fieldwork, and digital tools to enhance learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress through project-based learning, coursework, and exams.
• Support students in geography competitions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop an innovative and globally focused geography curriculum.
• Encourage the use of geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping technology in lessons.
• Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and faculty to support academic growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching certification.
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
• Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level Geography is required.
• Strong knowledge of GIS technology, climate change, and urban planning is preferred.
• Passion for experiential learning, outdoor education, and geography fieldwork.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
