Role: Head of Sport

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Physical Education and Sports strategy aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
• Oversee school-wide sports programs, including competitive teams, extracurricular activities, and inter-school competitions.
• Foster a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork among students and staff.
• Lead and mentor the PE department, ensuring high-quality teaching and coaching.
• Collaborate with school leadership to enhance sports facilities, resources, and training programs.
• Organize sports events, tournaments, and community engagement initiatives.
• Build partnerships with external sports organizations and professional leagues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or PGCE in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Recognized coaching qualifications and relevant certifications.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a school sports program.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with the UK educational system and experience with DASSA sports leagues is an advantage.
• A commitment to student development, high performance, and inclusivity in sports.
