Role Overview
As a High School Biology Teacher at CAIS, you will play a vital role in guiding students through the study of life sciences. You will design engaging and interactive lessons that promote curiosity, analytical thinking, and scientific inquiry. The role also involves preparing students for international assessments such as the IBDP, Alberta Curriculum, and AP Biology, while encouraging a passion for discovery and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high-quality biology lessons aligned with international curricula.
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving through laboratory and project-based learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- At least three years of teaching experience in secondary or high school.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IBDP, Alberta Curriculum, or AP Biology.
- Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Commitment to professional growth and a Christ-centered educational philosophy.
