Role Overview
The High School Biology Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across upper secondary levels, particularly IGCSE and IB Diploma. The role involves inspiring curiosity in the natural sciences, fostering independent research, and helping students develop strong scientific and analytical skills. The successful candidate will guide learners in exploring key biological concepts, preparing them for future academic pathways and careers in science-related fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Biology across IGCSE and IB Diploma levels.
- Design inquiry-based lessons that promote scientific thinking and problem-solving.
- Incorporate laboratory experiments, fieldwork, and project-based learning.
- Use technology and digital tools to enhance student engagement and learning.
- Provide constructive assessment and feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and curriculum development.
- Support extracurricular science-related clubs, competitions, or student projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in international schools.
- Familiarity with IGCSE and IB Biology curricula is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Passion for science education and commitment to student success.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
