Role Overview: High School Counselor

As the High School Counselor, your primary responsibility will be to create and implement a holistic counseling program that supports the academic, emotional, and career needs of students. You will work closely with students, parents, and the wider school community to eliminate barriers to student success. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with school stakeholders and external partners to address complex challenges, while ensuring confidentiality and transparency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and group counseling to address personal, academic, and career issues.
• Implementing programs that promote student well-being and academic achievement.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and community partners to break down barriers to success.
• Supporting students with career planning, college applications, and personal development.
• Ensuring counseling practices are ethical and maintain student confidentiality.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Master’s in School Counseling (required).
• School Counseling License (required).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong ability to work with diverse student populations and school stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success.
