Role Overview
The High School Physics Teacher will deliver engaging and inquiry-based Physics lessons at IGCSE and IB Diploma levels. The role involves guiding students through complex scientific concepts, leading laboratory experiments, and supporting learners in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Beyond teaching, the successful candidate will contribute to curriculum innovation, interdisciplinary projects, and extracurricular science programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics across IGCSE and IB Diploma levels.
- Develop stimulating lesson plans that encourage inquiry and independent learning.
- Lead laboratory sessions and ensure safe, effective practical work.
- Use digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and student engagement.
- Assess progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the science curriculum and foster cross-subject connections.
- Support extracurricular science activities, competitions, and student-led projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Physics, ideally in international schools.
- Strong understanding of IGCSE and IB Physics curricula.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for working with a diverse, multicultural student community.
- Commitment to professional development and innovation in teaching.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
