Role Overview

As a High School Social Studies Teacher, you will guide students through a wide range of subjects such as history, geography, civics, and global issues. Your lessons will emphasize critical thinking, research, debate, and the ability to connect classroom learning with real-world contexts. You will inspire students to become informed and engaged global citizens.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in history, government, economics, and other social studies areas
• Use project-based and inquiry-driven teaching strategies to deepen understanding
• Integrate technology and multimedia tools into classroom instruction
• Encourage student participation in discussions, debates, and research projects
• Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular initiatives
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school community events

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Studies, History, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for social studies education
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to professional development and innovative teaching practices
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
