Role: History Teacher
The successful candidate will teach history to students at the pre-school, primary, and secondary levels, with a focus on preparing secondary students for the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations. The teacher will use a dynamic, inquiry-based approach to help students explore key historical events, contexts, and global connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate history lessons across multiple year levels
- Develop lesson plans aligned with Cambridge IGCSE curriculum standards
- Prepare students for Checkpoint and IGCSE History examinations
- Evaluate student progress and provide targeted feedback
- Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom culture
- Contribute to co-curricular programs and school events
- Maintain open communication with parents and staff
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in History or a closely related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an international or IGCSE school
- Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum and assessment structure
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Commitment to professional development and innovation in education
