Role: High School SEN Teacher

As a High School SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective SEN lessons tailored to high school students.
• Develop creative teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and encourage independent learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Establish clear learning objectives and monitor student progress regularly.
• Engage in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with families to support student success.
• Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or a relevant degree with a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent specializing in SEN.
• Proven experience teaching SEN students at the high school level, ideally in an American/IB curriculum school.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on teaching techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous professional growth and learning.
