Position: Senior School Humanities Teacher

As a Humanities Teacher at BISAK, you will:

• Teach engaging and thought-provoking Humanities lessons (History, Geography, or related subjects) aligned with the British curriculum.
• Inspire critical thinking, debate, and inquiry, fostering a deep understanding of global and historical issues.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, using data to enhance learning outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging curriculum materials, projects, and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Encourage students to develop research, analysis, and communication skills, preparing them for future academic success.
• Support extracurricular activities and student initiatives, enriching the school’s educational experience beyond the classroom.
• Engage with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in History, Geography, Education, or a related field.
• A valid teaching license (QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience teaching Humanities at the Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, or Key Stage 5 levels.
• A strong understanding of the British curriculum and assessment methodologies.
• A passion for interactive, student-centered learning that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a diverse teaching team.
