Role Overview
The IB DP Biology Teacher will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) curriculum. You will guide students in exploring advanced biological concepts, scientific research methods, and real-world applications, preparing them for IB assessments and future academic pursuits in life sciences.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IB DP Biology courses with clarity, rigor, and enthusiasm
- Develop lesson plans that encourage inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking
- Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments
- Integrate digital tools and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum improvement
- Support students in science fairs, competitions, and research initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in IB or international schools
- Strong knowledge of the IB DP Biology curriculum
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Commitment to continuous professional development
