Role Overview
The IB DP Chemistry Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that develop students’ knowledge of Chemistry while fostering inquiry, experimentation, and scientific reasoning. You will help students succeed in IB DP assessments while cultivating essential skills such as problem-solving, research, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry at the IB Diploma Programme level
- Develop engaging, inquiry-driven lesson plans and laboratory experiments
- Prepare students for both internal and external IB assessments
- Integrate technology and innovative methods to support student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and interdisciplinary projects
- Provide academic mentoring and guidance to students
- Maintain strong communication with parents and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Chemistry
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and curriculum development
