Role Overview
As an IB DP Economics Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging, concept-driven lessons that encourage critical and creative thinking. You will guide students through key areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and global economics while connecting theoretical principles to practical examples. Collaboration with colleagues, integration of interdisciplinary learning, and participation in professional development are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Economics lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme framework
- Foster inquiry-based learning that builds conceptual understanding and real-world application
- Encourage independent research, analysis, and evaluation of global economic systems
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations
- Collaborate with peers to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Support students in preparing for IB internal assessments and final examinations

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related discipline
- Valid teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school
- Strong understanding of IB DP curriculum design and assessment
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
