Role Overview
In this role, you will teach English Language and Literature to students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). You will design lessons that inspire critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication. Using literature from diverse cultures, you will encourage students to explore language as a tool for personal expression and understanding of the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IB English in MYP and DP levels following IB standards
- Develop engaging lesson plans that promote reading, writing, and analysis
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations
- Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the English curriculum
- Communicate regularly with parents about student achievements and growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years teaching experience
- Experience with IB curriculum preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Native or near-native proficiency in English
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
