Role Overview

The IB MYP/DP English Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The teacher will inspire students to think critically, develop advanced communication skills, and build a lifelong love of literature and language. This role also involves active collaboration with colleagues, contributions to curriculum development, and engagement with the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that meet IB MYP and DP English requirements.
• Foster inquiry, independent thinking, and analytical skills in students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and align interdisciplinary learning.
• Use innovative teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support holistic development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB MYP/DP.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English literature and language.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
• Commitment to professional growth, collaboration, and innovative teaching practices.
