Role Overview
The IB MYP/DP PE Teacher will deliver engaging and student-centered physical education instruction aligned with IB standards. This role involves fostering a passion for health, fitness, and sports while encouraging teamwork and personal responsibility. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to design well-rounded physical education programs, support extracurricular activities, and inspire students to lead active and balanced lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach PE courses within the IB MYP and IB DP frameworks
- Design lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and well-being
- Provide timely assessments and constructive feedback to students
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum design and cross-disciplinary learning
- Support school events, athletics, and extracurricular activities
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or IB setting
- Strong understanding of IB MYP/DP curriculum and assessment practices
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching practices
