Role Overview
As an IB MYP/DP Physics Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of Physics. You will challenge learners to think critically, apply concepts to real-world situations, and develop a strong foundation in scientific inquiry. Collaboration with colleagues, integration of technology, and innovative teaching strategies will play an essential role in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics across the IB MYP and DP programmes
- Plan and deliver inquiry-based, student-centered lessons
- Assess student progress using formative and summative methods
- Guide students through extended projects, labs, and experiments
- Collaborate with subject teams to promote interdisciplinary learning
- Prepare students for IB external assessments and university readiness
- Contribute to extracurricular and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school
- Strong knowledge of IB MYP and DP Physics curriculum
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
