Role Overview
As an IBDP Mathematics Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). You will guide students through advanced mathematical concepts, encourage analytical thinking, and prepare learners for academic success in higher education. Collaboration with colleagues and active participation in the school’s professional learning culture are essential parts of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement challenging mathematics lessons based on the IBDP curriculum
- Support students in developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Assess student learning and provide regular feedback for improvement
- Integrate digital tools and technology to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency across the IB program
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably within the IBDP framework
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse international school environment
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and innovative teaching practices
